Lead / Performance Engineer

Monterey Park, CA

Duration: 6 months.

 

 

Lead / Performance Engineer Position – 1 position in Monterey Park, CA.

• Over 8+ years' experience in software testing with concentration  in automated performance testing of diverse software
• Experience in preparing performance test plans, devising performance test strategies, managing test data and ability to identify non-functional requirements through  business requirements analysis and architecture topology information.
• Experienced with test estimation, preparing test acceptance criteria and test Reports
• Experienced in liaising with Technical Project Managers, Designers, Business users, Developers, Release managers, Team members and various Support Groups to obtain required information for successful performance evaluation.
• Experience with performance testing software like HP Loadrunner, Service Test, SOAP UI, Performance Center etc.
• Experience in conducting different types of performance tests: Load, Volume, Stress, Failover, Scalability etc along with strong background in and coordination of multiple resources/teams/vendors from different geographical locations.
• Experience in monitoring infrastructure components in high availability web systems using tools like Wily Introscope, BMC Portal or through more manual processes such as UNIX monitoring tools, shell scripting etc.
• Exposure to all stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA processes.
• Experience in performance testing of web applications based on Java J2EE and .NET, client-server, (Mainframe) etc.
• Experience with various platforms Jboss, Websphere, IIS,etc..
• Good exposure and knowledge in V-model, Waterfall model, RUP, Agile development lifecycle
• Experience in XML, SOA and Message Queues.
• Working knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL RDBMS. Experience using DB tools such as TOAD and SQL Developer to mine and assess database information.
• Knowledge on Automation testing tool like Quick Test Professional (QTP), JMeter, Selenium and Badboy Automation Tool.
• Knowledge/Experience with tools like CA's LISA Virutailize solution or Lexcel Load Simulator is a plus.
• Excellent problem solving skills with a strong technical background and good interpersonal skills and strong communicational skills.
• Tool knowledge of TCP Analyzer tools like Wireshark, Fiddler etc.
• Sun Certification is a plus.
