Description:

DB Tester II

• The Test Engineer should have a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics

• 5-7 years of hands on software testing experience.

• Should be familiar with current software testing methodologies to include risk based, boundary, black box and white box testing.

• Must have a solid understanding of the SDLC, configuration management, and release cycles.

• 3 years of demonstrated experience with testing management and automation products like HP Quality Center, IBM Rational Clear Quest, and HP QuickTest Professional.

• 3 years of demonstrated experience with SQL, Unix, XML, Autosys.

• 1-3 years of demonstrated experience with Visual Basic programming.

• Attention to detail is critical for this role.

• Demonstrates knowledge of some or all of the following: Java (J2EE), C, C++, VB XML, shell programming, Web Logic and with RDBMS such as Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL and MySQL.

• Exposure to Ab Initio or Informatica ETL tool, TIBCO, and EMS Gems.

 

Nice to Have Skills:

• Must be well versed in function libraries, data driven test, and validation techniques.

• Exposure to Agile methodology and tools such as, Rally Dev.

• ASQ or QAI Certification
