Title: Java Flex Developer
Location: NYC, NY
Length: 6 Months +
Description:
Software developer in support of mortgage related applications for a retail banking business. Must be strong in UI experience in Flex. The developer will be required to build and maintain applications and scripts on both UNIX and Windows. The candidate needs to be a self-starter capable of solving problems and developing technology projects from start to finish. This includes business analysis, design, coding and testing. Candidate will need to share ideas and discuss solutions with others, including off-site team members. As such, strong communication skills are also required. Candidate should expect to work in UI development, as well as other languages and technologies
Required Skills:
· At least 6+ years of proven software development experience
· Strong skills in Web front end development experience in Flex, web technologies (e.g. HTML/JavaScript)
· Excellent communication skills
Desired Skills:
· Experience in Java
· Knowledge of relational databases
· General knowledge and proficiency in a UNIX environment
· Banking or financial IT experience (with loan or mortgage systems) would be beneficial.
Skills Proficiency:
· Web front end development experience in Flex
