Title: Senior Enterprise Backup Engineer
Location : Pleasanton, CA
Duration: 6 Months Contract

Description:
This position will be the subject matter expert for Enterprise backup and recovery role in engineering, implementation, and 3rd level day-to-day operational support. Position requires strong hands on experience in Enterprise storage and backup with preferred knowledge on Commvault, Data Domain that interact with back-end SAN/NAS technologies from Netapp and HDS using Brocade/Cisco MDS fabric switching. This position will focus on internal IT service delivery and involves interactions directly with all of IT's technology areas (e.g. Wintel, Networking, VMware, Unix). Successful candidate requires a dynamic, hard-working and ambitious individual that excels at multi-tasking and has the ability to ramp up quickly in a dynamic, high-tech environment. Candidates for this position must be able to, from day one, roll up their sleeves and hit the ground running, and bring their experience to the team to make the project deployments much smoother.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee planning, design, implementation, and operation of backup and recovery systems deployment projects.
· Manage implementation of large-scale backup and recovery systems projects, from both technical and communication aspects.
· Architect, plan, design, implementation and management of Commvault technologies with Data Domain back-end Infrastructure enterprise-class backup and recovery systems (BRS)
· Responsible for developing and documenting enterprise solutions for backup and restore procedures using industry best practices.
· Responsible for configuration and management of Cisco MDS and Brocade fabric switches.
· Working with team to analyze and design large scale enterprise backup solutions to achieve 99.90% reliability.
· Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to other resources and to customers
· Provide enterprise-class backup and recovery systems (BRS) design, implementation planning, deployment support, software strategy, system troubleshooting, performance engineering and optimization, maintenance strategy.
· Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer and mentorship to State Fund internal engineering peers as required and lead technical staff responsibilities.
· Maximizes backup and recovery systems performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting backup problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with others on systems optimization.
· Reporting systems operational status by gathering, prioritizing information.
Required Experience:
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of CommVault experience
- 5+ years of experience with Data Domain systems, NetApp and HDS storage
- 5+ years of experience working in VMware vSphere (and prior versions) environmentvignesh.renikuntla@aurionpro.com
