PHP/Wordpress Developer - Remote / Short term Contract    $45.00 pay Bill Rate 80.00 Position Summary: The focus for this position will primarily be on front end development creating rich user experiences with an aspect of it involved in designing and creating back end services interfacing our booking engine and customer-facing applications. The developer will need to be able to implement and enforce project-wide design aesthetics, back end development, and perform T-SQL tasks as necessary. Key Skills/Qualifications: 5 years of demonstrated web development experience knowledge of HTML/XHTML including proper semantic usage and standards Ability to use CSS to implement any layout with organized and clean stylesheets Knowledge of a compiled CSS technology (SASS, SCSS, LESS) Proficiency in JavaScript, and JavaScript Frameworks (JQuery, etc.) In-depth experience with WordPress, developing custom functionality, plugins, and themes Experience with Responsive design and Frameworks Experience with creating APIs and Web Services. Experience with Enterprise Service Bus technologies such as SOAP, JSON, XML, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to propose, advocate and critique design alternatives to determine solutions.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of API's, such as twitter, Facebook, Google maps, Instagram, etc.
• Knows how to use server management software such as cPANEL, WHM and Plesk.
• Internet protocols and formats - The ideal candidate should know about REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, request and response headers, etc.
• Solid understanding of Search engine optimization and how to apply SEO principles in web development.
