Location               :               Novi, MI

Duration               :               12 Months (Extension Possible)

Mode of interview: Initial phone screening + SKYPE or WebEX

Job Description: 

systems Engineer for Fiat Infotaintment program, providing guidance on complex embedded systems design and issues mainly focused on QNX RTOS application, interprocess communication, system performance and sytem fine tuning.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

- Working knowledge of embedded operating systems

Deliver media, telematics, navigation and vehicle data related functionality by coding best in class embedded software using C/C++, Java and QNX/Android/Linux expertise

- Work with GM business leads and engineering specialists to identify, capture and refine system requirements.

- Working knowledge of software development tools (debuggers, compilers, etc.).

- Working knowledge of software development processes

- Experience in developing drivers and other embedded components

- Experience in QNX, Linux, or Android for development on Infotainment, Audio or Multimedia products

- Experience in designing complex system architecture

Worked with Document and QNX Product Release teams to ensure that the latest versions of utilities are distributed and documented

- Vehicle networking experience including CAN, LIN, MOST, etc.

- Working knowledge of physical communication buses including: I2C, RS232, SPI or other serial interfaces.

- Strong attention to detail

- System thinking and leadership capabilities

- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

- Creative problem-solving capability such as reproducing complex software defects

- Capable project management and time management skills

- Ability to read schematics and debug analog and digital hardware

- Able to use oscilloscope and logic analyzer for troubleshooting
