Job Description:

Client has immediate need for an OBIEE Developer, focusing in RPD and Database Design.  (FYI, Oracle Business Intelligence RPD is a file with the extension ".rpd," which contains data definitions and business rules known as "metadata."  It is composed of three tiers known as "layers."  It is very similar to building a data mart.)

Description  

Fidelity's Equity Business Intelligence and Analytics Team is seeking a Principal OBI Developer / Analyst. In this highly visible and challenging role, you will be an integral part of the technology group supporting a team of Investment Professionals including Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, Traders and Senior Investment Management across multiple advisors. 

Primary Responsibilities 

The Principal OBI Developer / Analyst will be responsible for the building of BI and Reporting tools that expose insights into fund management through Holdings, Trades, Research, Compliance, F/X among others.

Responsibilities will include software engineering on a variety of existing and new reporting / BI applications and building OBIEE Reports and Dashboards working closely with team members and business partners to rapidly deliver high quality solutions surfacing data elements of interest. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experience
• Experience with data and business intelligence applications and engineering.
• Experience in data acquisition and application development in a financial environment.

 Skills and Knowledge

• Extensive experience with Oracle SQL , PL/SQL and performance tuning
• Comfortable with multiple database concepts, i.e. RDBMS, ODS, Warehouse, data modeling
• Should be proficient in OBIEE 11G Architecture and its components.
• Implementation knowledge of OBIEE Security at both Object level and Report/catalog level security; should have worked on 11.1.1.7.2
• Should have experience in AnalyticsRes deployment and changing the OBIEE skins and logos.
• 5+ years of RPD development experience (should be proficient in physical and logical modeling)
• Should have experience building Level based measures & Hierarchies
• Should be Proficient in BI-Publisher
• Linux/Unix experience
• Experience with Autosys or a scheduling tool.
• Experience with version controlling tools like Clear case & STASH.
• Clear understanding of the OLAP structures and multidimensional data
• Experience building OLAP cubes using Analytic Workspace Manager.
• Experienced in Integrating OLAP Cubes with OBIEE RPD and Modeling the RPD on cube structures.
• Experience with Tableau is a plus.
• Working knowledge of financial instruments
• Work with minimal supervision directly with investment professionals

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
