Performance Engineer

IL-Illinois/Lake Forest

6+ months

MOI :: Telephonic followed by face to face

Provide performance engineer support for G.com Hybris, Canada Hybris, and other platforms.

 

Major responsibilities and duties:              

• Execute load testing, monitor environments, etc.
• Monitored Metrics on Application server, Web server and database server.
• Requirements:    Expertise in Soasta/Loadrunner.
• Ability to analyze performance testing results/production issues and come up with solutions/recommendations
• Good understanding of Java, Spring, Javascript. Working experience in an environment with Hybris platform is a plus.
• Previous working experience in an environment with Apache/Tomcat Tc Server. Good knowledge on Linux/Unix.
• Ability to analyze cpu sampling/thread dumps/memory dumps. Good knowledge on how GC works in JAVA.
• Understanding of how CDNs work.
• Proficient in using Dynatrace for debugging issues
• Exposure to synthetic monitoring tools such as catchpoint/keynote.
• Good understanding on Front-end Performance. Understanding of page anatomy (waterfall, how browser works, browser caching, usage of browser dev tools, some best practices from front-end performance perspective)
• Ability to use Splunk to create dashboards/Alerts, finding problem patterns for troubleshooting issues.
• Exposure to tealeaf is a plus.
