Title: Java/Big data Developer
Location: Waltham, MA
Project Details: Work with runtime developers and data scientists to understand data requirements of the ad server, its targeting features, and its optimization algorithms. Implement data modeling, data processing, caching services, and interfaces to satisfy those requirements

Responsibilities:
• Work with runtime developers and data scientists to understand data requirements of the ad server, its targeting features, and its optimization algorithms
• Implement data modeling, data processing, caching services, and interfaces to satisfy those requirements
Requirements:
• BS/MS in computer science/related field or equivalent relevant experience
• Five years of software development experience
• Programming and scripting experience using Java, SQL, and JDBC on Linux
• Understanding of multi-threading in Java, parallel processing, and data sharding concepts
• Experience with Big Data technologies and processes
• Understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases and their uses
• Experience with databases and technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, Vertica, Elastic Search, Solr, Cassandra, Amazon Messaging, S3, and Redshift
• Experience designing and implementing for a high-throughput, low-latency, high-availability production environment
• Skills in query performing tuning, data analysis, and debugging
• Experience in Agile development and experience with tools such as Subversion and Maven
