Title: QA Lead Consultant with Merchandise Planning

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The QA Lead consultant will work within the A&F IT and business community to ensure systems meet the known and unknown business requirements of the user community with emphasis on optimal business processes of Product Facing Systems, specifically related to the Planning and Inventory Management modules MFP/AP, Franchising, Merchandising and Pricing systems. In addition to system changes in RMS, SIMS, Size tool and PIM applications there are several changes to integrations and regression scenarios that will need to be verified as part of this project.
The QA Lead Consultant will coordinate and lead testing efforts on PFS Assortment Strategy Open to Buy project. He/She will lead the development and execution of a Testing Strategy in partnership with the Project Manager, development of test scenarios and review of detailed test- cases to ensure the software or code meets approved functional requirements. He/She will also be responsible for facilitating defect review meetings, publish test status updates, and coordinate testing schedules with appropriate resources to ensure the testing process completes in time for the scheduled implementation.
The QA Lead must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, be able to multi-task across several issues simultaneously, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with and interact with technical and non-technical resources alike. The QA Lead for this project is expected to be proactive and have exceptional leadership skills.
PROJECT-SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on testing experience, preferably in Retail domain.
· Must have a minimum of 3+ years of QA Lead experience, preferably in Retail Domain
· Experience with any Inventory Planning/ Inventory Management/ Merchandising/Franchising/Pricing tools is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead and manage QA team to verify that delivered I.T. systems meet documented project requirements.
· Interact with and manage relationships with I.T. developers, business analysts and business partners at all levels of the organization pertaining to this project.
· Partner with the Project Manager to develop and execute a Testing Strategy for the project, including a detailed testing schedule.
· Ensure adherence to A&F's I.T. Project Management Methodology, including the use of appropriate processes, tools and reporting.
· Partner with the Business Analyst to verify and review testability of documented project requirements.
· Develop test scenarios based on documented business requirements and use cases, as needed, execute test cases using HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) application
· Track and communicate the progress of all phases of testing on a daily basis to the project team and extended project stakeholders.
· Lead daily defect review meetings.
· Identify, mitigate, communicate out and escalate defects, issues and risks.
· May have to onboard and co-ordinate with QA team (not limited to onsite but may extend to offshore)
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS/CIS, Engineering, or related field (required).
· 6+ years experience in QA, preferably with a minimum 3+ years as a QA Lead.
· Ability to lead project team comprised of business and I.T. associates with strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and negotiation skills with minimal oversight.
· Excellent planning and organizational skills; capable of multi-tasking across several projects or issues.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to breakdown and effectively communicate complex business and technical processes, problems and issues.
· Strong written and verbal communications skills to facilitate communications between and among highly experienced business and I.T. associates.
· Personal Attributes: Confidence, self-starter, proactive, strong work ethic, highly motivated, a Winning 'Will-Do' attitude and team oriented.
· Ability to create detailed test scripts based on list of functional requirements and test scenarios.
· Ability to build End to End tests based off System tests/ Functional requirements/Process Flows. Should be able to assess and utilize any existing test scripts from previous projects (if any).
· Experience working with an offshore testing team is a plus.
