POSITION TITLE: Senior Windows Engineer
LOCATION: COPPELL TEXAS
DURATION: 6-12 months

NOTES:
Manager is specifically looking for a Windows Engineer who has hands on experience with restructuring Active Directory and experience with Windows 2008 R2 to 2012 R2 migration. The manager wants someone with hands on experience with consolidated AD forests and collapsed Domains.

Position Summary and Principal Responsibilities:

• This is a senior level engineering position.  This individual will join a team of engineers supporting our client's growing Microsoft Windows server inventory. The position will require an individual who is familiar with sound system management principles including; storage management, system design and integration, life-cycle management from installation to decommission, and process improvement. The ideal individual will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills to ensure that business customers are kept well informed of infrastructure activities.
• Windows Server Administration
• Maintain Operating System health
• Install 3rd party software
• Remediation of deviations from configuration baselines

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Windows Server 2003
• Microsoft Clustering Services
• SAN Storage
• Networking

Preferred Experience:

• 10 years plus (10+) experience in Infrastructure Technology
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server/Workstation Operating (e.g. Windows 2008, Windows 2003)
• Expert-level knowledge of vSphere ESX Virtual Infrastructure
• Proven experience in maintaining a robust server and virtualization platform

Education, Training &/or Certification:

• Microsoft Certifications are preferred
• Advanced degree in a technical discipline preferred
