Network Engineer

Philadelphia, PA

12 + month Contract

 

Required Skills:

·         Strong Cisco Nexus skills required (VPCs, port-channeling, spanning-tree)

·         Heavy switching skills required

·         Arista switch experience a plus

·         Must understand data-center fundamentals (cabling, patch-panels, rack/cabinet details, electrical power, heating/cooling)

·         Must understand terminal-servers, ILO, and other OOB management methodology

·         Strong leadership with a consulting mindset.  Comfortable stepping into a situation and taking initiative

·         Good documentation/process skills

·         Quick study for new hardware platforms – needs to understand how different pieces of the network work together

·         Systems administrator background optional

·         People with testing experience would be a plus

·         Troubleshooting complex Layer 2 networks and environments

·         Understanding basic routing is a plus
