Project Manager 2 - ScrumMaster

Boise, ID

1 Years Contract

 

Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.)

 

Specific Skills for a ScrumMaster:

First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM )

Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team

Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, scaling agile across multiple teams, handling defects, etc.)

The ability to distinguish between what "is Scrum" what is "not Scrum"

Excellent communication and mentoring skills

Understand the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.

Understand the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.

Demonstrate knowledge and experience with IT processes and concepts.

·         Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, SAFe, etc.

·         Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc.

 

Technical Skills:

·         Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development.

·         Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise.

·         Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.

·         Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team.

·         Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics.

·         Understand backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition.

·         Mastery of common Agile/Scrum practices.

·         Familiarity with software as a service, service-oriented environments, and improving development practices.

·         Understand the software development tools such as Cucumber and Jira,

 

What we are looking for is a strong technical contributor who can quickly come up to speed on our existing system functionality, application infrastructure, both from a hardware and software perspective. The candidate filling this position must able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

 

Experience working with government agencies would be advantageous, but is not required
