Job Description

·         Responsible for providing leadership in the design/development of product testing/quality processes and in developing testing architecture equal to that of commercial quality software.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Coordinates and identifies test cases to automate.

·         Mentors staff in testing and product quality processes.

·         Maintains current reference architecture and defines, monitors and collects testing/product quality data.

·         Identifies quality needs of functional feature, performance and service requirements/components. Defines appropriate testing methods to employ to assure developed product conforms to requirements and design.

·         Reviews defects in assessing product quality.

·         Reviews an application for testing needs and requirements/design quality.

·         Consults to projects and application support groups regarding quality and testing and may y otin the transition of software and systems into production.

·         Plans/ prepares and executes test assets and executes linkage from test plan to test scenarios and cases.

 

Education/experience:

·         Requires BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems;

·         5 years of testing/product quality experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

 

Job Requirement

·         Requires an understanding or organizational impacts and trade-offs of quality processes.

·         Quality certification required within one year of job placement and prior to moving to the next job level.

·         Proficient with UFT/QTP or equivalent of automation testing tools.

·         Must have experience with building automation regression suite from scratch.

·         Experience with generating and running Load Runner scripts are optional and preferable.
