| PROJECT SUMMARY : The candidate is evaluated on his/her ability to interface professionally with project teams, identify and analyze quality risks, determine the test approach, determine test project scope, prepare time estimates, facilitate and manage the project testing schedule, prepare and facilitate the implementation of test plans, and manage the outsourced testing vendors.
REQUIREMENTS: - Lead QA automation activities for multiple delivery project
- Manage and mentor team of onshore and offshore QA testers
- Provide leadership with the design, development, implementation and maintenance of automated infrastructure (scripts, functions, programs, and processes) to increase the efficiency of testing processes
- Learn the Client Automation Framework (TAF) and help promote and train onshore and offshore QA tester, project teams, and support teams
- Help continuously improve the TAF to ensure usability and maintainability
- Create/update test automation standards, policies, and procedures
- Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and automated tests to be developed
- Review test automation deliverables produced by the test suppliers to ensure adherence to the TAF and automation best practices
- Work with the Vendor, Development and QA teams to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, System test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other test objects as appropriate.
- Work with the Release Engineering team to create and maintain an automated build verification ("smoke") test
- Provide the technical leadership in the definition, development and maintenance of the testing environments
- Collaborate with peers in QA and Development to share information and resolve issues
- Document, track, and report on product defects.
- Keeps current with testing and quality trends and techniques, tools and processes
- Participate in automation test plan reviews and code reviews
- Document automation approach and solutions so they are easily understood and maintainable
- Demonstrates agility, ability to foster and engage in healthy conflict, mentorship, ability to remove obstacles, and creates clarity from ambiguity
- Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used
- 10+ years' experience in the QA and automation field using HP QTP/UFT BPT tool
- Demonstrated experience working in waterfall and agile development environments (Scrum or Kanban).
- Experience with testing web-based technologies
- Demonstrated experience in creating quality control programs and processes
- Proficiency with SQL and database query tools
- Strong experience with building and leading others in building automation scripts and/or programs using tools such as (HP QTP/UFT and BPT framework)
- Strong experience with test and defect management tools (HPQC)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical senior management and line staff are a requirement.
- Strong experience collaborating with development, product management and delivery teams throughout the SDLC. Must demonstrate or possess strong experience in:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Reviewing supplier deliverables and providing feedback and direction
o Assessing risk to schedule, cost, or quality on project and testing engagement
o Preparing and managing the project test automation schedule
o Preparing and facilitating the implementation of automation test plans

SKILLS DESIRED: - Should understand the challenges and strategies to effectively implement automation testing in an agile and waterfall development environment.
- Should be capable of solving any technical issues that might arise during test automation
- Should have some experience in test automation on various platforms including Salesforce.com, consumer facing websites, loan origination and servicing systems, and internal financial systems.
- Familiarity and/or hands-on experience in the following technologies:
- Operating System: Windows 2008 Server, Red Hat Linux.
