Job Description

The primary goal of this position is to define the overall technical architecture for the mobile applications that support our client's loyalty and credit programs. We are looking for a hands-on architect who is passionate about building enterprise mobile applications, work with different teams and craft innovative solutions. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, consensus builder with a keen focus to quality and on time delivery.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Provide thought leadership on new trends in mobility, mobile application development
• Provide technical oversight on projects to ensure that engineering projects are completed on time and within budget
• Communicate technical issues to project managers and business stakeholders
• Take active part in a process to establish best practices and knowledge sharing within the technical department and to drive engineering process efficiencies
• Ability to Mentor and assist engineers
• Assist project management by reviewing and providing input to project plans/estimates
• Create application designs and detailed technical specification documentation
• Participate in reviews of the designs, prototypes and other technical deliverables to ensure they fulfill requirements and meet common IT industry standards
• Ability to research, configure and prototype new software tools/frameworks
• Ability to identify broader industry future technology scaling and trends
• Ability to self-manage and delegate work to others
• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment

 

Desired Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in technology, application development and solutions architectures
• 4+ years of hands-on native (IOS, Android) mobile development experience
• 4+ years of hands-on solution Architecting and designing mobile solutions
• Experience leading a team with a track record in setting direction for system design, development and implementation; preferably within the financial services industry
• In-depth cross-domain understanding of the applicability of software solutions and off-the-shelf software, and experience communicating technology strategy and direction for all levels of management, end users, and technical staff
• Experience in defining and documenting processes and procedures
• A good understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant applications.
• Expertise with mobile test automation frameworks
• Agile development practices like Continuous Integration/Delivery, DevOps, Test Driven Development etc.

Familiarity with the latest trends in Mobile Payments.
