Position       :  Sr. Oracle DBA  

Location      :  Atlanta , GA

Interview   :  Skype okay in lieu of a face to face interview
Duration     : 6+ Months (This starts out as 6 months and then extends in 6 month increments )

We are looking for someone with Goldengate and expertise on tuning and RAC. 

 

Job Requirement

•        Our client located in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior ORACLE DBA with expertise on Tuning and RAC

Education/Experience

•        12-15 years of experience required

 

Skills and Competencies:

·         Expert knowledge of Oracle RAC on multi terabyte databases (12-15 years).

·         Expert knowledge of SQL tuning ( 12 - 15 years) is required.

·         Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time.

·         Expert in Oracle RAC, ASM, DataGuard , troubleshooting production issues.

 

 

Note: If you are not an expert on database tuning , please do not apply. Candidate will get opportunity to learn goldengate and exadata. We need a really smart DBA who is a fast learner.

 

Job Responsibilities

·         Work closely with applications teams to do physical design, partitions, tuning and production DDL implementation, Build RAC clusters.

·         Review performance in production and identify opportunities for improvements.

·         Work on database upgrades, Build RAC clusters, setup backup and OEM monitoring, Level 4 support of production system.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.
