SAP FICO  Consultant

Location  : Snohomish County , WA

Duration : 1 year

 

Experience and Education Requirements

The Proposer should provide resumes for consultants with the following skills and experience:

•        BA or BS in Accounting; CPA preferred

•        Understanding of internal controls; ability to identify operational weaknesses and make relevant control proposals.

•        Minimum of  9  years' experience in a Finance or Accounting functional role in industry .

•        Public sector and utilities sector experience.

•        Minimum of 9 years SAP Finance experience; experience implementing SAP FI/CO strongly preferred

 

 

 

 

 

SCOPE :

a. Serve as the Business Lead, leading the B2R work stream team to complete the District's SAP implementation of the FI/CO modules for day-to-day accounting functions including the preparation of detailed operating expense reports, monthly close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.

b. Direct and support the B2R team as it goes live with SAP, as well as leading post-go live activities to ensure all financial and accounting activities are transitioned as required. Complete problem solving, coordinate fixes, and assist in process improvement.

c. . Be responsible for working with the Finance team to ensure that the SAP implementation allows for:

• Accurate and timely monthly closing

• Timely account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and approvals

• Timely and accurate financial statement preparation

• Appropriate internal controls

• Effective interim and year-end audit processes, including preparation of information requested by external auditors.

• Appropriate management of work orders

• Accurate and timely entry and payroll

• Budget reporting

• Accounts payable processes
