ETL / DATA Tester

Libertyville IL (North Chicago Suburb)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in but not limited to QA & Testing Methodologies, Test Management and Test Data Management.
• Experienced in several test data management solutions, technologies/products.
• Experienced in data migration, conversion, and implementation projects.
• Experienced (hands on) in test data management process design, data transport and data transformation, including ETL and data middleware.
• Working understanding of operating systems (os) platforms, network/communication protocols and application and security layers that affect data transfer and performance.
• Experienced (hands on) in using tools and utilities at os, platform, dbms, and application layers to manage and optimize data creation or transfer.
• Experienced in data scaling, stress/load testing, end-to-end data performance.
• Experienced with one or more Data Warehouse, BI, data analytics, and reporting engines.
• Advanced understanding of test data management concepts such as Data Masking, Data Sub setting and Data Manufacture.
• Advanced knowledge (ability to independently write, maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures) for one or more databases. Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SYBASE, DB2/UDB etc.
• Experienced in use and application of database concepts like tables, views, constraints, sequence, joins, triggers, procedures and functions.
• Working knowledge of various technology and file formats – Mainframe, distributed, XML, relational and non-relational schema etc.
• Hands-on knowledge in creating smaller, targeted versions of databases for testing and development or database sub-setting.
• Experienced in security and privacy practices for handling sensitive data records and using data masking or data de-identification methods
• Experienced in creating high-quality test data through modeling and sampling existing data.
• Experienced in test data selection and enrichment in conjunction with data manipulation and bulk data loads, data filtering, macro updates/changes.
• Good understanding of test data optimization algorithms such as ALL-Pairs and orthogonal arrays is preferred.
• Expert in QA testing process, methodology, and technologies; experienced in creating and managing and verifying data aspects of testing.
