POSITION

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

San Francisco, CA

6+MONTHS

 

Project Manager who has experiencing in Agile Projects of Web/Mobile based applications as well as DB intensive application and BI projects.

Job Requirements: Candidate will be responsible for:               

·         Project Financials & Financial/Portfolio Reporting

·         Status Reporting

·         Project Governance

·         Identification of missing roles/resources and resolution/escalation of same

·         Business stakeholder communication

·         Issue/Risk communication/resolution/escalation – removing blockers

·         Project Planning

·         Change Management

·         Ensuring the team adheres to its processes (and all that entails in terms of artifacts and meetings)

·         Prepare for and facilitate daily scrum meetings; sprint planning, review, and retrospective ceremonies; backlog grooming meetings; and planning poker sessions with technical team

·         Create, maintain, and organize backlog of features, epics, stories, and tasks

·         Provide input to release planning using team capacity and skill set information

·         Compile, analyze, and present statistics about time estimation accuracy, team velocity, and burndown rate to development team and management each sprint

·         Review and provide feedback on drafted user stories and epics to ensure alignment with general Agile user story standards

·         Be an advocate for the Agile and Scrum methodology

·         Coach teams to resolve conflict, remove impediments, and meet output targets

·         Support Engineering and Product teams in developing, maintaining and grooming the Product Backlog

·         Identify and manage dependencies across internal and external teams

·         Act as liaison between client-facing and technical teams

·         Drive cross-functional team deliverables, setting and administering schedules and managing assigned projects according to plan

·         Measure, troubleshoot and optimize workflow and communications processes

·         Ensure adherence to corporate SDLC and project management expectations and standards

 

Skills Requirements:

·         Familiarity with Media Advertisement related concepts will be a plus.

·         Minimum five (5) years of IT experience in a fast-paced, short delivery horizon environment

·         At least 2 years of strong experience as Project Manager of Agile projects.

·         Bachelor's or Master's degree holder

·         Experience using Agile management tool(s), such as JIRA, TFS, or TargetProcess

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team (customers, developers, testers, business analysts, managers, executives, etc.)

·         Strong self-organization and self-management skills

·         Experience with full software development lifecycle (business process, requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, training)

·         Expert knowledge of Agile and traditional project management principles and practices with an ability to blend them together based on current project requirements

·         Strong leadership, motivation, and facilitation skills

·         Demonstrable experience successfully leading varied and diverse teams

·         Ability to understand technical issues at a sufficiently deep level to identify gaps

·         Strong advocate who can push agenda persuasively with staff, managerial and executive stakeholders

·         Experience working within an established SDLC

·         Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, Automated Testing

·         Understanding of or experience in following technologies and tools:

1.       Microsoft Project & VISIO

2.       Cloud Computing

3.       Amazon Web Services (AWS)

4.       VMWare (Virtualization)

5.       SaaS Model

6.       JIRA (Agile)
