Job Title                                :  Sr. Hadoop Admin

Location                                :  Pleasanton, CA

Duration                               :  6-12 Months

 

·         Harden the cluster to support use cases in 24x7 mode

·         Setup and document the monitoring for our Hadoop cluster.  This will include design how we want to do the monitoring, work with IBM for infra monitoring,  work with Cloudera and core team on creation of dashboards, alert system,  weekly status report for uptime, usage, issue, etc

·         Design, implement, test and document performance benchmarking strategy for platform as well for each use cases

·         Create capacity planning strategy process for the Hadoop platfor

·         Worked with IBM on using Puppet or Chef in managing update to the cluster

·         Worked with Security on implementation of self-service ID request for Landing Zone access

·         Candidates who is currently supporting Hadoop in production is a plus
