Job Title: Java/Sybase Engineer

Location: Rochester MN

Duration: 1+ year

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge in web-based application development built using the Java / Spring Framework, as well as an excellent understanding of relational databases - including SQL, data models, stored procedures, and triggers.

Database programming, troubleshooting, and optimization experience is essential.  Exceptional communication skills, proven experience working closely with technical leads and business stakeholders is essential to success.

 

Required Skills:

- 5+ years Java SE / Java EE

- 3+ years Spring MVC

- Spring Security

- 3+ years Hibernate

- 2+ years Web Services Creation & Web Services Consumption

- HTML/CSS

- JSP/JSTL

- JavaScript

- 4+ years Sybase

- Strong SQL skills (stored procedures/triggers, Multi table joins etc...)

- DB Optimization (show plan, statistics IO, etc.)

- UNIX & Shell Scripting

- Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial!
