Role: IBM Mainframe DB2 COBOL Programmer

Location: - Downtown Minneapolis, MN

Duration: - 2 years Contract

In-Person Interview

 

Qualification:

7 years of experience with mainframe COBOL programming experience with intermediate knowledge of IBM mainframe databases both IMS and DB2. (In lieu of mainframe IMS, experience in mainframe CICS may be considered)

7 years of experience with JCL, Panvalet and Easytrieve

7 years of experience with defining MFS screen layouts and testing with BTS

Advanced skills in reading and understanding technical requirements and technical drawings

Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must

Strong interpersonal skills (soft skills)

Ability to read and understand existing IBM Mainframe IMS COBOL and IBM Mainframe DB2

COBOL code and modify to new technical or business requirements Ability to write clear technical/specification documents

Intermediate understanding of SQL databases and query structure

 

Nice to have:

* In lieu of IBM Mainframe IMS COBOL, experience in IBM Mainframe CICS may be considered

* Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010

* Experienced in IBM Mainframe RACF (security)
