We have a Direct Client Requirement for you and the details are as follows

 

Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Database Developer (Java)

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 12+ months

 

Job Description:

 

Project description: Enhancements to an existing Credit Collections application and conversion of an AR system using Oracle PL/SQL for stored procedures, triggers, views, etc. This is primarily back-end database development. Some DB design also possible. Strong emphasis on technical lead experience developing PL/SQL stored procedures for Oracle 11g database.  Must be able to mentor internal Sherwin staff on Oracle features/functions/best practices.

 

• Java/Oracle solution

 

Nice to have:

Java, J2EE, Struts, EJB, Unix (shell scripting), some type of web-server (Tomcat), JSP, HTML, Java Script, JSF, JBoss, Seam, Hibernate, Ajax, XML, XSLT, Xpath.

 

Experience Required:

Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views. Database development and design.

• 5+ years IT experience.

• 2+ years of Oracle 11g experience supporting Web-based applications (Java or .NET, excluding Oracle applications) with the last year working in this environment.

• Utilization of new Oracle features and/or best practices.

• Extensive experience working with large transactional databases.

• Some experience with Data Warehouse is a plus.

• Practical experience with relational database design and schema creation.

• Work experience with Unix environment and shell scripting within last 2 years.

• Some DBA role experience is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, verbally and written.

• Strong business functionality knowledge.

• Credit and/or Financial application background a plus.

 

Other Experience:

• Technical team lead experience

• Oracle Certifications: PL/SQL, 10g, 11g

• Ability to work independently, with other team members, and business users.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical.

• Full life cycle development experience is required.

• Ability to transfer knowledge and bring new ideas and solutions to the project.
