Experience using SoapUI Desired 1 Years Working Knowledge
Performance and functional automation engineer responsible for creating/executing performance tests as well as creating/executing functional automation scripts. Experience using SoapUI is helpful.
Experience: at least three years of current experience in automation (performance and functional) required.
Knowledge: Must have proven knowledge in computer programming language and a thorough understanding in systems and data processing policies, practices and procedures. Must have extensive knowledge of the software development life cycle as well as an understanding of project management concepts and techniques.
Skills/Competencies:
Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of both functional and performance test automation activities. Must have the ability to analyze and understand complex applications and systems and be able to program automation scripts requiring minimal intervention. Must possess problem-solving skills to determine the configuration effects on existing systems. Must have strong decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to prepare and communicate test plans and procedures as well as to interact with all levels within the company.
With full competency, able to design, develop and execute functional automation scripts as well as assimilate non functional requirements to create, execute and analyze stable, reusable, and accurate performance test scripts. Must be at a scripters level and not record and playback.
Required Skills:

Competency with HP tools suite (Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, LoadRunner, and Performance Center)
At least three years of recent hands-on experience with automation testing practices and tools
Solid workload modeling skills as it pertains to performance testing
· Ability to elicit non-functional requirements
Ability to create "ad-hoc" tests to exploit areas of suspect performance issues
Ability to work with automation frameworks to include keyword, data and hybrid driven
Proficient in scripting in VB and C languages
Experience with agile automation tools, to include SoapUI, Cucumber, and/or Selenium
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies to include Agile, Waterfall, Iterative
Defines and manages test plans, strategies, results reporting and metrics
Designs and executes complex test scenarios, scripts
· Validates and reports test results
Coordinates calendars and plans test runs
Analyzes and reviews requirements and technical work products
Maps requirements to tests and test results
Prioritizes, defines and manages defect reporting and resolution
Good understanding of Operating Systems, Networks, hardware and common Performance related issues
Able to perform root cause analysis and translate test results to produce test reports for various stakeholders
Ability to analyze complex systems, project documentation in order to determine appropriate test strategies and translate them into required test documentation
· Previous experience with estimating test efforts
· Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated and capable of working with others with minimal supervision
Flexible - able to present options and seek "best" path when ideal situations do no occur
