REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
DBA, to include production support as well as development environments   Required 5 Years 3 - Expert
Experience working in a data warehouse environment  Required 8 Years 3 - Expert
Experience as a Data Modeler  Required 8 Years 3 - Expert
Previous and recent experience using various tools such as Erwin, ER Studio to design logical and physical Database Architecture Required 8 Years 3 - Expert
Experience with data acquisitions, data availability, data backup archiving and recovery Required 8 Years 3 - Expert
Previous experience developing source to target mappings (STTM)and developing ETL mappings using at least one ETL tool, such as Informatica Required  8 Years 3 - Expert
Experience with the design of normalized relational databases Required 8 Years 3 - Expert
Experience with de- normalized data warehouse design and how to convert relational designs to multi- dimensional designs Required  8 Years  3 - Expert
Experience with the Analysis of Data ,SQL and PL/SQL   Required 8 Years 3 - Expert
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and BI tools, such as Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy,etc. Required 8 Years 3 - Expert
Experience planning and implementing the Data Architecture goals of a project  Required 8 Years 3 - Expert

Job Description:
The data modeler will work with District agency resources to successfully analyze data, design normalized relational databases, develop Source to Target mappings, and design data models in line with the data architecture goals of the project. The candidate will work closely with the chief data architect as well as other members of the Citywide Data Warehouse team. The successful candidate will also operate with minimal oversight and be fully experienced with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), to include the ability to perform extensive requirements gathering and analysis.
