3. Consolidate environments
Scope of Project
· Upgrade Cognos current version 8.4.1 to Cognos 10.2 or higher
· Consolidate Environments:
o Current:
§ Development, Test and Production UNIX environment
§ Development, Test and Production Windows environment
o Future
§ Development, Test and Production vBlock 64-bit Windows environment
· Upgrade Development, Test and Production environments for following Cognos-based reporting applications:
o LIMS
o EAMS
o ServiceCenter
o MAPS
o MWDW
§ DWODS Model
§ MDWDW Dimensional Model
§ LRT
§ LAS Archive
§ HPLIMS Archive
§ BPCS 6.1 Model
§ Lincoln Manufacturing
§ Modular Batch Record
§ EPIC Reports
· All Upgrade activities should be provided such as
o Installation and configuration of Application servers and Web servers
o Parameter setup and tuning
o Setup Multi-tenancy if feasible, Life cycle Manager and leverage other new features if feasible
o Installation and configuration of the Lifecycle Manager tool.
o Framework Manager test/remediation (approx 14)
o All Reports migration (all Public Folder reports) from 8.4 to v10
o All Reports test/remediation (approx 425)
o Security, test/remediation
o Migration of all My Folder Reports, test/remediation
o Migration of all Schedules, test/remediation (approx 900)
o Complete upgrade documentation as required by GRC methodology
o Successful user access after upgrade (approx 9000 users)
o Any pre upgrade cleanup activities
o Provide recommendations to enhance implementation and architecture
· Communicate and coordinate with other teams for database, web server, infrastructure and global BI support team
· Create/update documentation as required per GRC methodology
