The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years' experience as a Data Analyst within a Data Warehouse environment and 5 plus years of overall IT experience.
 
Data Analyst Description: Provides technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases. Handles complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling. Consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise-level data/ database architecture and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on technological advancements.
 
This position is responsible for the technical and operational support, advisement, and quality control of the existing Brokerage Operational Data Store (ODS) and Central File Distribution (CFD) environments, including but not limited to Development, Integrated Testing, Certification Testing and Production platforms. Successful candidates will support and maintain the current ODS and CFD applications by providing expert technical advice, troubleshooting production issues and supporting the implementation of technical or process enhancements. Along with technical proficiency in very large relational database environments, knowledge of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts and processes is required. Knowledge of Unix/Linux development procedures, technologies and techniques is also prerequisite. Technical leads can also be responsible for leading technical and environment related projects. To that end, Project leadership, planning and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment complete the requirements for success in this demanding position.
 
• Unix/Linux experience (includes an understanding of Unix/Linux command line utilities (sed, awk, find, grep, etc.)
• Relational database experience (DB2 or Oracle)
• Sort tools (Syncsort, Cosort)
• Batch systems and processing
• FTP/SFTP/NDM file transmission protocols
• Proven problem solving skills in time critical / high profile situations. * Operational and environmental support experience – including periodic overnight production support.
• DBA / Unix SA experience.
• Informatica knowledge.
• Prior Brokerage or Financial Services experience.
