Position: Principal Safety/Reliability Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 6 months plus

Only US Citizens, Green Card Holders

 

Will be the Product Assurance group's point of contact on several programs starting with contract award through the sustaining portion of their life cycle. Responsible for reviewing designs to ensure Safety/Reliability requirements are met, perform safety &Reliability Analyses to demonstrate requirement compliance and trend/analyze failure data and determine & implement corrective actions.

Conduct system safety analysis, functional hazard analysis, safety requirements identification and traceability, fault tree, reliabilitypredictions, FMEA, FMES, and related work with an emphasis on safety engineering.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform multiple analyses such as:

 

• System safety analysis

• Fault tree analysis

• Functional Hazard Analysis

• MTBF predictions

• FMEA

• FMES

• Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action (FRACAS) data analysis

• MTTR

• Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• 7+ years of experience in Military or Commercial Aviation Electronics

• Proficient in MS Office, Relex, and CAFTA

• Familiar with MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-1629, MIL-STD-470, SAE ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882. Experience generating and presenting proposals and customer design reviews

• Experience interacting with different facets of engineering, manufacturing, quality, subcontractors, and customers
