Rate: $50/hr
Skill and Role Summary:Test/QA Lead who can drive the testing effort on a project from beginning to end.Test Lead plans and executes the approach to evaluate the quality of and adherence to system/software product standards, processes and procedures, BAU or Project specific. This role ensures all work products released are stable, meet documented levels of quality and performance standards as prescribed in business requirements to align with customer needs. The Test Lead attends Project/BAU related meetings, develops test artifacts/deliverables in accordance to the clients Test Methodology, creates test planning and execution activities, drive defect management and triage related tasks, ensures test phase entry/exit criteria is met and generates test reports that provide metrics to the Project Team, LOB and Sr. Management.
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Reviews Project or BAU related documentation
· Manage and direct overall testing schedule and approach for test related to assignments.
· Participate in requirements elicitation session and review requirements to ensure they are clear, concise and testable.
· Develop and maintain a test level profile assessment and risk assessment related to test documents.
· Perform initial analysis of test activities to determine scope of testing activities.
· Responsible for development of the Test Strategy and Plan and test approach defined.
· Develop traceability matrix and drive to define test data requirements.
· Support analysis and execution of change requests and engage appropriate test resources for impact to test scope and timeline and revise deliverables as necessary.
· Drive defect management and triage activities.
· Generates test reports for the Project level status reporting and/or Sr. Management reporting.
· Collaborate with team members.
Requirements:
· 7+ Years of system/software test experience
· Experience in leading testing activities for a project
· Strong verbal and written communications skills
· Strong organizational, leadership, team building as well as developed process oriented skills
· Demonstrated ability to assess artifacts and define the test approach.
· Must be experienced in Mercury Interactive's Quality Center
· Ability to make forward progress towards goals despite issues
· May require non-standard work hours in order to perform tests in highly utilized computing environments
· Candidates adaptable and flexible in technologies and tools will excel in this position
