# Positions	ü  The SQL Applications Developer's role is to perform duties to assist with the on-going development and maintenance of the P-20 Data Collaborative' s data warehouse. ü  The individual will be responsible for creating stored procedures, working with ETL to move data into the system, creating some tables and limited data modeling tasks for bringing data from new sources into the system. ü  The P-20 Data Collaborative' s data warehouse will be composed of data that has been extracted from other state agency databases incrementally and will be merged together into a separate P-20 data warehouse to create a longitudinal database for analyses. ü  The individual must be experienced working in the Microsoft SQL Server platform. This individual must be flexible to perform varying related tasks as the project develops and be                                      able to operate as part of a team.   Necessary Skills:   ü  Three to five years of SQL development in MS SQL Server 2005/2008. ü  Experience with table creation and design. ü  Experience with integration testing in the SQL environment ü  Three to five years of experience writing and debugging Stored Procedures and triggers. ü  Experience using Advanced T-SQL. ü  The ability to create or further flesh out data models based on the available data feeds or to enhance an existing model with new data sources. ü  Experience transforming data from one server to other servers using tools like Integration Services (SSIS) Analysis Services (SSAS) and Reporting Services (SSRS). ü  Excellent communication and collaboration skills required. ü  Experience with MS Reporting Services and/or Business Office preferred. ü  Ability to analyze requirements and produce relevant reporting. ü  Ability to write and modify complex SQL queries. ü  Drive relentlessly to remove risks and ensure solutions are fit for purpose. ü  Self-starter. ü  Ensure that we have the right balance between business speed and the associated risks. ü  Understanding of Data Warehousing.   Education   ü  Computer Science degree or equivalent experience (specifically around Microsoft SQL products).   Technical Competence   ü  Microsoft SQL Server 2005/8 ü  SSIS 2005/8 ü  T-SQL ü  .Net ü  Crystal Reports   Experience with the following is desirable:   ü  SAP BusinessObjects     Roles & Responsibilities:   ü  Work closely with the Project Manager, Lead Systems analyst and the Technical Development Lead to understand the requirements. ü  Develop stored procedures to create "edit reports" and basic profile testing of data files as they are imported into the system. ü  Create and populate tables within the data system with data from external sources. ü  Document procedure development and assist others with the collection of Meta data for use in data dictionaries and other documentation for data system users. ü  Create reports using SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports ü  Functionality Testing and bug fixes /issue resolution during the various quality assurance testing cycles ü  Other duties as needed
