Project Manager- Network Engineer  

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Duration: 20+ Months

 

Phone and Skype! But Candidate have to go F2F for Background Check

 

PMP and previous State/government agency experience is a must

 

Position Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Establish networking environment by: designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards;

• Maximize network performance by: monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on aspects of network pre-migration, migration, and post-migration tasks;

• Secure network system by: establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access;

• Design, implement, and support the switching, routing and security infrastructure for MyFloridaNet;

• Lead and direct cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources;

• Write technical materials, statements-of-work in large telecommunication procurements, service operating guides, rule development, workflow processes, etc;

• Maintain records and files of work and revisions;

• Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.

 

Requirements:

• Experience as a Network Engineer / Project Manager;

• Experience with Microsoft Project, complicated Project Plans (2+ years);

• Experience with switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and network monitoring systems;

• Experience with telecommunications technologies;

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (required):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field and 2 years of experience, or equivalent work experience can substitute for the degree (6+ years).
