Position: CCIE/Cisco Datacenter ACI Engineer
Location: NYC
Duration: 6+ Months
REQUIREMENT DETAILS
SHORT DESCRIPTION:
CCIE/ CCIE expertise. This individual will provide Product selection, feature evaluation , test plan/ lab certification, templates as well aspects of the Engineering design for new incremental requirements coming from network hardening initiatives to better secure and do network segmentation.
He/ she will be certifying in the NYP lab Data products, ranging from DC to security. Requires both a deep practical understanding of existing network routing and switching technologies such as network security techniques, WAN technologies and Cisco Datacenter ACI expertise used to deploy and enforce segregation policy at an enterprise scale.
This individual's focus will have a heavy IT security/ DDoS mitigation techniques and overall security knowledge is requred. He/ she will also be required to allocate portion of his/ her focus in the Data Center space, an area of unparalleled growth and change in view of new Data Center protocols like VxLAN and eVPN and their applicability in next-gen DCs as ways to provide Service Mobility and Network segmentations.
The role requires extensive vendor interactions for validating proper operating system operations, staging and verifying features and end-end performance and tuning as needed. Those can range from security, to QoS, to TCP tweaks for optimization, etc.
REQ'D SKILLS
• intimate hands on knowledge of complex network designs, dynamic routing (OSPF & BGP & PIM), QoS, Matrix switching and network instrumentation- taps., SPAN, netflow, sFlow etc.
• Security & WAN technologies- MPLS VPNs, OTN, DWDM, iWAN, SDN, WAN Acceleration Segregation and security features such as TrustSec, policy automation, encryption, overlays, VRF, ACL, ISE, 802.1x, MAB, RADIUS, MACSec, IPSec etc.
• Next Gen iWAN
• Wireless
• Desire and ability to assimilate new technologies and know where the industry for NFV/ virtual service chaining
• Knowledge of Ixia of Spirent test/ test libraries for testing, automation and regression
• dot 1x
• Ability to prioritise effectively with good time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent writing skills are a must
• Strong logical and analytical skills.
• Deep sense of ownership/accountability
• High level of initiative, proactive approach.
• Stakeholder management and providing reports and overviews to both technical and non-technical senior management
• Ability to work in a global team environment
