Position: Sr. Java Developer
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Roles and Responsibilities
- Technical Lead with 8+ years of development exprience
- Be the owner for the module / project as well as work as an individual contributor (hands-on experience is key)
- Work with the architects to understand the technical roadmap and translate that to an implementable low-level design for the project team members (developers)
- Needs to be a quick learner. Be prepared to work in technologies they are not familiar with. Specially as this is ground up development, client is willing and leaning towards adopting the latest and greatest frameworks, libraries and tools available.
- Be able to define "Technical Spikes" and provide feedback on architecture decisions
Must to have skills
- At least 5+ years of solid experience in JVM platform (Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Hibernate, ElasticSearch, Eureka, Apache Kafka and Docker)
- Experience in MicroServices
- Experience in integration (JMS / Services)
Nice to have skills
- Product or SaaS development experience
- Experience in MicroServices architecture
- DevOps and AWS experience
- Multiple language experience in JVM (like Scala / Clojure)
- Also, need to have Zuul, Kibana, Apigee EDGE
