Position: Java Architect

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: Long Term

 

Job Description:

Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, Spring Cloud Data Flow etc)

•         Distributed computing, in memory computing (Apache Ignite), map/reduce frameworks (Spark), streaming (Storm, Samza)

•         Event sourcing and distributed message systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

•         NoSQL data stores and polyglot persistence (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, CouchDB)

•         Build tools and dependency management (gradle, maven, npm bower, grunt, gulp)

•         Understanding of the testing pyramid (unit, functional, integration, system, API testing) and testing approaches TDD, BDD

•         Experience with compilers, interpreters and language design

•         broad knowledge of diverse existing programming languages and runtimes

•         excellent understanding of optimizations techniques for language runtimes (JIT, CUDA etc)

•         domain driven design fluency

•         understanding of tradeoffs in levels of abstractions starting with low level languages and ending with metaprogramming

•         excellent understanding of functional vs imperative vs object oriented languages, dynamic vs static

•         experience with designing a model driven DSL implementation and maintenance

•         understanding of data modeling including metadata based approaches

•         knowledge of industry standards and taxonomies in HCM space
