Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

------------------------------

Responsible for all aspects of server administration for Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services including problem-solving, configuration, and implementation efforts for multiple projects with an emphasis on operational excellence and continuous improvement of server related processes and procedures. Getting involved with other technologies that interface with the Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies, including tools that support backup/recovery and monitoring, VMs, Citrix, firewalls, and load balancers.

Additional Responsibilities

Aid in adoption of new technologies that Deloitte may implement as enhancements to the MSBI systems or their monitoring.

Aid in security group membership validation as needed.

Aid in SharePoint site management for reporting or for team collaboration purposes.

 

Mandatory Qualifications

----------------------------------

Knowledge of Microsoft BI Architecture

Bachelor degree in I.T. or similar

8+ years System Administration experience in executing tasks such as user provisioning, sever configuration, capacity planning, performance tuning, backups, applying patches and system upgrades, troubleshooting technical issues

4+ years of experience in SQL and SQL database administration, monitoring, performance baselines and tuning

2+ years of experience in administration and configuration of Microsoft  SQL Server Analysis Services(SSAS) and SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS). Technical knowledge of installing, configuring and maintaining Windows Server, SQL Databases, SSAS and SSRS

2+ years experience working in systems that require high levels of security and practical application of security hardening procedures

 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with packaging programs like MSI, rpm, or other

Experience with SharePoint Integrated Reporting & Analysis, PowerView, PowerPivot, Power BI, Report Builder,

Knowledge of XML, RDL, SOAP, RS  WMI, URL Access, Report Designer, Report Manger, Report Server Command Prompt Utilities (RS.exe, rsconfig, rskeymgment), DQS, Integration Services, and MDS, Replication

Experience with Tableau

Experience with Visual Studio Team Sytem

Experience with SQL Monitoring products and Microsoft Server monitoring

Experience in environments using end-to-end encryption

Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc.

Good communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with technical teams

Good influencing and reasoning skills; good at conflict resolution and consensus building
