Job Description:

·         Project team lead for Monitoring & CMDB record implementations.

·         Interface with customer & project resources for monitoring & CMDB requirements.

·         Communicate gathered requirements effectively to operational staff.

·         Develop out-of-box monitoring solutions using the BMC BPPM as the foundation.

·         Coordinate auto-ticketing requirements to administration staff, as per customer specifications.

·         Coordinate with Windows / Unix / Storage Tracks for monitoring requirements.

·         Documentation of all implemented monitoring, in preparation for operations support turnover.

·         Develop Test Cases and coordinate User Acceptance sessions w/customer & operational staff.

 

Experience:

·         6+ Years of relevant experience in the following:

·         Multiple projects hands on experience on the above tools. Implementing the out-of-box & customer monitoring parameters in complex infrastructure environments.

·         Very good knowledge of Remedy ITSM Suite modules i.e. Incident, Change, Problem, etc. Strong understanding of BMC Atrium CMDB 8.x & inter-application relationships between application-to-server, server–to-database, etc.

·         General knowledge of BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping (ADDM) / Atrium Configuration Management Database (CMDB) integrations, reconciliation jobs, etc.

·         Integration of H/W monitoring, SNMP Trap Monitoring, and other 3rd party tools.

·         Understanding of auto-ticketing concept, and ability to coordinate implementations between operational staff and project resources.

·         Ability to handle high pressure situations, self-manage workload and deliver monitoring implementations on-time.
