Description
There will be a mix of typical 24x7 operational support DBA and Software Engineering projects and tasks, which include working on database security, backup/recovery, on call, performance tuning, and software upgrades. You will also work closely with software and system engineers on design, performance, standards and change control for many custom applications that leverage Oracle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure availability and performance of Oracle databases (OLTP and OLAP servers and processes)
• Be part of the on call rotation.
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure availability, scalability, and performance.
• Own the process of database quarterly security updates
• Review, implement and release database changes as submitted by the development team.
• Work closely with the software development team to improve standards and process.
Skill sets:
• Must have 3-5 years Oracle DBA experience on 11g and 12c
• Good understanding of Oracle internal, RMAN backup/recovery, RAC and Data Guard
• Experience on GoldenGate and TDE a big plus
