Position:: Java Developer
Location:: Parsippany, NJ
Duration:: 6+ months
Note:- GC/ Citizen only.
F2F required.
Skills required: -
· Must have Jboss6 or higher, sql server and have developed web services from scratch!!
· In this role, the Java Developer will be responsible for developing web services for a state of the art online policy administration and quoting system.
Further responsibilities/duties are listed below: -
· Understand existing systems before producing code
· Produce code that is well-architected, clearly decoupled maintainable and secure
· Create web services and middle tier codes
· Demonstrate adherence to excellent design principles as well as understanding what makes a secure and efficient system
· Develops programming applications in an agile development environment
· Work and understand end user requirements; and translates business requirements in to state of the art technical solutions
· Works with other teams and specialists within the organization
· Identify the scope of an area of development work, to recognize and understand the potential impact on other areas and to provide accurate time estimates to a successful project completion
· Provides development support to existing applications
Required: -
· 4 + years of experience in application design and development in Java
· Experience in developing Java Web Services using JAX-WS, JAX-RS, JBossWS (AS7) or Apache CXF framework
· Experience with Web Services security and Java security layer
· Experience and proficiency in SOA applications
· Experience in MS SQL Server
· Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other teams
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
· Very good attention to detail
· Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
· Experience working with end users
· Travel Domestic/International less than 10%
Required Technical Competencies: -
· Java 1.6 or higher, JSF, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, AJAX, JQUERY, OO Design & OO Programming, Eclipse IDE, JUnit, XML Technologies, JAX-WS, JAX-RS. MS SQL Server
Preferred Technical Competencies: -
· Tamino XML Database
