DevOps Engineer
Location: Bellevue, WA
Contract duration: 6-12 months
Start date: asap
This role has primary responsibilities for activities related to building Dashboard UIs for system reporting.
· Maintain and collect data on all system metrics
· Work with Management, Development, QA and Operations to report state of all DevOps systems
· Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the applications.
· Solve problems relating to mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence; with the goal of automating response to all non-exceptional service conditions.
· Influence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
· Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning.
What we look for:
· Experience in one or more of: C, C++, Java, Python, Go.
· A passion for automation
· A passion for dashboards
· At least 8+ years of technical experience
· Expertise in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
· Familiarity with running web services at scale; understanding of Unix systems internals and networking.
· Systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
· Hands on – be ready to code.
· Report/Data savvy - knows how to present complex data so it is easy to understand
· Hands-on coding experience developing and designing software and/or responsive web-based solutions and adaptive design
· Experience consuming REST APIs for an operations system like Jenkins, Stash, Bamboo, etc.
· Experience on working AWS
· Telco experience nice to have
