RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring tasks or problems.
Stay current on industry trends and new technologies and recommend future initiatives.
Manage small infrastructure projects, from inception to deployment
Evangelize proposed solutions and standards across the organization and Technology leadership
Translate complex technical concepts into easily understood explanations and influence decisions to ensure enterprise benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS
Scripting/automation skills.
Oracle RDBMS 10&11g product implementation, upgrades, architecture and performance tuning
In-depth understanding of Oracle backup and recovery methodologies (RMAN a plus)
Experience in database reorganization, migration, capacity planning, disaster recovery and high-availability
Exhibit strong organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Understanding of security concepts.
Pursues Continuous Learning
Passionate about Continuous Improvement
Need:
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience supporting RDBMS
Prior experience working in a PCI compliant environment a plus.
Experience in using automation tools (Chef preferred) a plus.
Understanding of software development methodologies and practices including agile development and continuous integration (CI
Experience working with AWS database services a plus.
Experience working with OEM 12c a plus.
Experience working with Open Source databases MySQL and MongoDB a plus.
Experience monitoring and configuring Linux servers a plus.
