The Web / UX role is primarily focused on designing and participating in the development of a web-based application.
• Expert proficiency with digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or other similar software
• Excellent HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
• Understanding of UX design principles
• Experience building SEO driven websites
• Strong interest in usability testing and performance metrics
Preferred Skills: • Must have a portfolio featuring examples of interaction design work
• Excellent writing and oral communications skills required
• Experience with usability testing
• Ability to clearly articulate the rationale behind design decisions
• Strong organization and good interpersonal skills is required
• Works collaboratively in a team-based Agile environment with other technical staff, business owners, and subject matter experts
• Extreme attention to detail
• Able to learn quickly and effectively apply new knowledge, demonstrating the desire to stay in touch with emerging technologies
• A demonstrated passion for user experience and the web
• Must be able to finish tasks with minimum supervision
• Able to put in extra hours as required for special projects/problems for critical issues
Roles and Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain design wireframes, UX flows, mock-ups, design specifications, and interactive prototypes
• Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI specifications
• Develop personas and use cases
• Create cross platform responsive user interfaces for a variety of platforms
• Create modular designs for scalability
• Collaborate with stakeholders in driving user goals
• Lead focus groups and elicit user requirements
• Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders
• Research interaction design and technology trends
• Runs design reviews, usage walkthroughs, and usability tests with key stakeholders and representative users to validate designs and iterate designs as needed
• Build web pages via HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Work collaboratively with software developers, product managers, and executives to build scalable solutions to improve the user experience
• Actively participate in technical and user story discussions
