Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Memphis, TN Must Need local
Duration: 11 month contract
Rate : 50$ / hr on C2C
Project Scope:
• Initial scope is to upgrade existing application, database and operating system to current standards
• Repair nonfunctioning components
• Develop new functionality according to requirements - DBA is not required
• Ability for programmer to write ORACLE stored procedures, program Java application, and manage Linux operating system is required.
Summary:
• Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.
• Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree/equivalent in computer science, MIS or related discipline
• 5+ years' experience in systems development and skills/platform/environment
Skills and Competencies:
• Knowledge of design techniques and principals involved in production of drawings and models
• Knowledge of niche computer software, such as Oracle, C# .NET, Lawson, etc.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications
• Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration
