Sr. Business Analyst - Oracle Finance
Location: Marlborough, MA
Job Description:
Business analyst with Oracle E- Business Suite Finance suite experience - Vertex Consumer Use Tax familiarity a plus. Experience with Procure to Pay Module a must have requirement. Understanding of Human resources business processes is required. Demonstrated ability to facilitate elicitation and analysis of business requirements. Documentation work is primary for this job. Demonstrated ability to do functional specifications, system configuration and test cases, as well as good knowledge of Oracle EBusiness Suite - Finance configuration and concepts. Strong documentation, facilitation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member alongside another Business analyst. Good familiarity and demonstrated experience with Business analysis techniques such as modeling.
The candidate needs to be prepared to provide samples of work to hiring manager. Expert level of writing competencies required. Documentation and writing tech specifications are a primary function of for this role. Evidence of recent documentation work is preferred.
Skills/Requirements
Analyzes complex cross functional business processes and defines integrated requirements. Facilitates the design of integrated solutions (process, technical & organizational). Ensures the end to end solution is proven to deliver the required business results. Drives adoption of the designed processes and solution use with stakeholders. Communicates with business SMEs to ensure expectations are kept in line with project status. Drives the definition, testing, training, and implementation of functional requirements. Upon implementation, drives knowledge transfer to Global Production Support. Develop, monitor and track plans to create the BA deliverables on an assigned project. Creates/revises/executes the following deliverables using industry standard techniques as applicable, including but not limited to:
• Process Maps
• Data Flow Diagrams
• Requirements Specifications
• Functional Design & configuration
• Use Case Scenarios
• Acceptance Testing Coaches other BAs in the delivery of artifacts for assigned project.
• Analyze business processes and/or systems to identify problems, opportunities, and needs within a department.
• Coordinate user activities during the project life cycle, develop, execute and validate user acceptance test plans and implementation support.
This role may require all or some of the following:
•Maintains focus on process analysis with an understanding of technical problems and solutions and the relationship to the business environment
•Business process mapping
•Functional and technical gap analysis
•Analyzes overall project considerations and builds the business rationale to provide a concrete solution recommendation
•Facilitate gathering of functional requirements
•Testing requirements
•Project management as required
Desired Skills
· Analytical thinking and problem Solving, Business Knowledge including Industry and TJX specific knowledge, Listening and communication skills.
· Knowledge of IT Software lifecycle process, understanding of IT Project methodology and working in matrix environment
· CBAP/CCAB certification a plus
Minimum Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience:
· 7-10 years of related work experience.
· Minimum of five years' experience with Oracle Procure to Pay Module.
