Job Title: SAP MM Systems Analyst
Location: Brentwood, TN
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
This position is responsible for collaborating with our various IT and business units to define system objectives for our ERP system, analyze processes and technologies to enable business users. This requires advanced understanding of merchandising, forecasting, replenishment, store planning and supply chain solutions such as SAP (MM and SD). Additional responsibilities include technical leadership, mentoring other team members, and leading projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include input to project planning, scoping, determining and documenting business requirements, creating functional specifications, developing and executing test plans and scripts, streamlining and improving current processes
Develops alternative solutions to problems, evaluates each solution, and recommend the best alternative based on the technical and business impacts.
Performs and/or coordinates configuration changes for applications in the area of responsibility.
Defines, analyzes, and evaluates existing business functions and processes and makes recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements.
Meets with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and lead prioritization of build items.
Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
Leads design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow; documents risks and identifies mitigation strategies.
Participates in the execution of test cases as part of the Quality Assurance process
Translates conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. This includes creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team.
Reviews system design plans for reasonableness and fit with the business requirements
Conducts research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Provides orientation to end users for modifications to existing processes and new functionality
Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate through all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or management information systems.
5+ years of experience supporting Merchandising Supply Chain solutions such as SAP (MM, SD, IS-R, WMS)
Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Training/Systems
Advanced ability supporting users in SAP system modules such as MM, SD, IS-R, WMS is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of merchandising business processes. These include forecasting, replenishment, allocations, purchasing, order management, store planning, assortment planning, master data, pricing, and promotions.
Advanced understading of principles of SAP material management system modules such as MM,IM, and SD.
Advanced understanding the capabilities and limitations of the native SAP technical architecture/solution.
Advanced knowledge of IDOCs.
Advanced knowledge of tables and SQL concepts.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Advanced ability to work independently, work in a fast paced environment, and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction.
Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and to work with a distributed team.
Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
Advanced critical thinking skills with the ability to move beyond proven problem-solving approaches to formulate solutions.
