Description: Java/Python KDB Developer

Location: NYC, NY

Length: 6-12 months

Start :ASAP

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support market and transaction data feed handlers to KDB+ plants

• Build real-time high-performing KDB+ publishers/subscribers in Java and Python

• Build support tools to manage integrity and recovery of KDB+ data feeds

Qualifications 

• Expert in core Java and Python

• Experience with KDB+ and Q/K

• Experience with LBM Java/C++ APIs

• Hands-on experience with ION trading technology products(pub/sub messaging, gateway and RFQ) is a big +

• Expert knowledge of market data and order entry protocols (FIX/FAST, ITCH, OUCH etc…)

• Knowledge of electronic trading flow across FX, Rates and Credit

• Experience in leading and mentoring junior developers

• 3+ years of experience working with electronic trading flows

• 5+ years of application development experience using object-oriented and scripting languages

• At least Bachelor's (Master's preferred) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

• Good oral and written communication skills
