Position: Hadoop data Architect
Location: Bellevue WA
Duration: 6 + MONTHS
Experience: 8+
                               
Primary skills: Hadoop Big Data technologies like Hortonworks, Kafka, Flume, Sqoop, Hive, Pig, Map Reduce, Spark, Storm etc

Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems;
Ability to analyze data in depth, align with business needs and architect data solution and implement them.
Develops database solutions by designing proposed system; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications.
Installs database systems by developing flowcharts; applying optimum access techniques; coordinating installation actions; documents actions.
Maintains database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; completing maintenance; answering user questions.

Skills needed

Strong experience in Data analysis, Data Modeling, Database Design, Data Maintenance, Database Security, Database Management.
Good knowledge of Hadoop Big Data technologies like Hortonworks, Kafka, Flume, Sqoop, Hive, Pig, Map Reduce, Spark, Storm etc.
Experience architecting data storage based solution (data lake) in Big Data environment.
Excellent knowledge of DW/BI technologies with knowledge of Data Modeling in the DW environment (dimensional modeling)
Excellent knowledge of Oracle and SQL server with hands on experience on playing data architect.
Knowledge of one or more data architecting tools.
Knowledge of Data Governance techniques and experience in implement policies
