Job Description:
Need 10+ years of exp
Marketing Analytics Platform - Developers (ETL/SQL/Scripting)
• Greenplum database development (loading, creating aggregates, SQL, performance tuning, etc) (desired)
• Design and development of a Hadoop-based data lake/reservoir, data refinery (ETL), and ad-hoc analytic capability using data wrangling tools
• Write Linux/UNIX shell scripts (e.g. BASH) to execute ETL processes
• Build end-to-end ETL processes that ingest, transform, and publish highly refined analytical data sets
• Construct data models and tables on relational databases to ingest raw data & design and implement aggregate tables and views supporting high performance reporting
• Work closely with data modelers/architects to evolve the data structures for MAP
• Adhere to client's project delivery methodology and documentation requirements to deliver in a predictable and auditable manner
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or technical area required - may accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience
• Minimum of 4-8 years of diversified experience working with MPP databases, such as Teradata, Greenplum or Hadoop
• Experience with Hadoop and its various components in an enterprise setting (beyond academic and hobby use) is a significant plus
• Knowledge of HBASE and Spark is a plus
• Strong programming experience in UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting
• Experience writing and tuning complex analytical queries with SQL, SQL SME
• Experience working in an analytical domain such as data warehousing, business intelligence, or data mining
• Experience or familiarity with at least one common ETL platform
• Experience with streaming patterns is a plus
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to drive projects to successful conclusion
• Ability to communicate complex problems, status, and progress to management is critical
• The individual must be self-starter, independent, motivated, detail and quality oriented, proud of the product(s) he/she develops, and an excellent team member
• Experience in the web/digital/mobile, financial services, or marketing industries is a plus
• The individual must have experience working in test-driven and highly iterative environment
• Ability to analyze data and business problems to help drive solution designs
• Understanding of database performance tuning is a plus
• Data modeling experience is a must (table builds and optimization) - Irwin experience is a big plus
