Job Description :

 

Our Sr. Java Developer will design, implement, and maintain web and batch applications that service contract obligations.

•             Design web and batch applications

•             Implement web and batch applications

•             Maintain and audit systems we create

•             Provide technical leadership on medium and large development efforts

•             Provide comprehensive analysis of web and batch applications across multiple platforms and networks

•             Provide estimates for perspective applications and systems

•             Provide daytime and nighttime production support of the applications we own

•             Mentor new and junior developers

•             Prepare specifications and documentation according to department standards

•             Demonstrate effective communications skills, verbal and written, while working with all levels of people

 

Software/Technology:

 

Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Java ecosystem of open source libraries (Spring, STRUTS, Log4j, Apache, etc.), Internet protocols, SQL/ RDBMS / DB2, XML, XSL  DTD, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, OOP/OOD, JEE, JCL, ANT, Shell Scripting, Perl, C/C++/C#, Windows, Linux, zOS, Application Servers, Integrated Development Environments.

 

Applications: Attachmate EXTRA, Rational Software Architect/Eclipse, Ant, Apache Directory Studio, CVS, Cygwin, Internet Explorer, Fiddler, FireFox, Chrome, FileZilla, KeePass, Notepad++, Microsoft Office, Putty, Secure Zip, SoapUI, Visio

 

Education:

Bachelor of Science or better in Computer Science or related field.

 

Experience:

Data Processing / Computer Science / Info Systems OR equivalent education and/or related work experience

4 years: Four or more years of application development experience as an Internet developer, or four or more years of application development experience with at least one year in Internet development.
