Position: Database Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6 Months (C2H)

This is a contract to Hire Position and we are looking only for USC/GC/OPT.

Database Engineer Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Designing, formulating and improving schemas and database structures  (Oracle and/or UDB)
• Develop stored procs, scripts and database functions
• Developing methods and equipments for improving efficiency and availability of the platform
• Developing new and high performance strategies for the working of the database
• Reviewing technical submissions and analyzing them on a regular basis
• Working in teams to figure out problems and solving them in real time
• Solve and predict problems before the occurring so that ideally the database never has to come to a standstill position
• Installation and testing of new software's and products in the database
• Providing entrée levels to different persons in their respective areas
• Updating existing databases under the guidance of management
• Implementing and installing new products successfully

Job Skills and Specifications

• 6-8 years of experience in Database engineering using Oracle and/or UDB
• In-depth knowledge of computer programming and data manipulation techniques
• Technical understanding of the different phases of the Software Development
• Should be intelligent and creative
• Ability to think logically in a limited time

Job Education and Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer related field
• Generally a master's degree is required for working in this field
